What we set out to solve
Existing baby monitor apps either lock parents into proprietary hardware or stream over insecure peer-to-peer links. Caregivers want a phone-to-phone solution that is private by default, works across rooms and homes, and shares safely with a partner or yaya.
How we built it
- 01Pair devices with end-to-end encrypted WebRTC so audio and video never sit unencrypted on a server.
- 02Detect cry, motion, and noise events on the device side and push targeted alerts instead of constant video.
- 03Support multi-viewer access with a household model (parents, caregivers, grandparents) with role-based permissions.
- 04Offer a paid tier for cloud event history, sleep summaries, and HEIC export.
